8-11 Buff 35 is a premium wheel clay formulated with IMCO ball and kaolin clays plus a select 35 mesh grog. 8-11 Buff 35 has excellent plasticity and green strength. Very good drying characteristics and maximum resistance to thermal shock helps insure a higher than average recovery of finished pieces. Fires to a light grey cream in oxidation and a deeper speckled grey buff in reduction.

A medium coarse clay body. Fires a warm buff in oxidation and a beautiful medium brown in reduction.

This is a good, general purpose clay that works well for all forming methods. Specks generally bleed into glazes. 60 mesh sand gives a medium texture. Fire at Cone 5, the oxidation color is gray/buff and the reduction color is gray/brown.

A high-iron throwing clay with excellent plasticity and thermal shock characteristics making it especially suitable for functional ware. It has light grog and a fine sand to provide strength with a reasonably smooth finish. In oxidation, it is a warm orange buff hue. This darkens in reduction to an orange-chocolate brown while maintaining its warmth. Good for raku as well!
